When I hike outdoors with my husband, friends and family, that's when I am the most happy! As an artist I have become more aware of all the beauty around us. My painting, "Treasures of the Creek", represents a tradition I have had on special hikes. I search for and find that one rock that I want to take home for my garden to be a momento of that special day. Last summer I was so blessed to see my son and my three little grand daughters pausing by the creek and foraging for those special rock treasures that they wanted to take home. My husband smiles at me when I find my rock treasure and I had to smile at my family finding their rock momentos. In nature even the rocks are special!
