First light spills between towering evergreens, casting a golden glow on the treetops and mirrored waters, along this pristine river estuary. A new day is filled with hope. This painting was inspired by the wetlands and streams weaving through the land near White Rock, British Columbia, and lies within the unceded traditional territory of the Semiahmoo First Nation, a Coast Salish people.

As a BC landscape and plein air artist, my passion is capturing our beautiful west coast on canvas. I was raised on the Gulf Islands and completed my Masters of Fine Arts at UBC. My inspiration is the way light plays on the land and reflects in the water.
"Nature has always been there for me…for all of us, if we take the time to appreciate her gifts. I am passionate about preserving and capturing on canvas these moments in time so that others can also enjoy and be inspired."
