This mixed media piece is inspired by the beautiful chaos of my morning neighborhood walk. I wanted to capture how the weather changes the colors around me each day. In this work, warm and earthy ochers represent the scattered leaves and twigs under my feet, while deep purples catch the cool morning shadows. It is about being totally distracted by the textures of nature when I'm just supposed to be out for a walk. Once finished, it reminded me of eating tofee while walking home from school as a child..
