Indigenous people of Canada have often felt marginalized and invisible. A stronger awareness and understanding of their connection to nature and their traditional culture depicted by the feather has given many more self-confidence and pride. This in turn has given them the strength to break imposed barriers symbolized by the transcending eagle.
