About the Artwork
The Nechako River is lined with many Cottonwood giants which provide perches and nesting places for Bald Eagles and Osprey. Whether fallen by man or by nature, this old root floated down the river years ago on a high release from the Kenney Dam. It is now a focal point on the beach at Wilkins Park, adding to the beautiful scenery and providing an exciting natural object for children to climb.
