About the Artwork
This surreal and colourful abstraction is full of vignettes that take the viewer on a journey. It has been built onto the canvas in layers, each bringing new dimension and texture. A splash of zinnias against a weathered wood fence in one of Vancouver’s back lanes helped inspired the piece as a brilliant dance between nature and urban life.
