This painting captures the beauty and complexity of sleet, rain and snow. Various tools were used to incorporate texture and intensity to the canvas and many layers peak through the white to give a hint of what lies beneath. The modern representation of twigs and branches leaves their interpretation to the eye of the viewer. The palate of whites, grays and browns represent the uniqueness of the winter landscape and of nature resting as it prepares for spring.
