The trail for me is like Monet's water lilies - it's something I know intimately well. I spent decades walking on trails and continue to travel them very, very often. To me they are that intimate subject matter that resides in my soul and in my heart.
"It's not just the journey of the trail, it's also the journey of using all the elements in an image as the medium. It is not just the paint but it's the trees, rocks, grass... I use each of those parts to create a visual journey."
