This relief print is part of a series of eight illustrations for a hand printed accordion book. The concept of the book and prints is that we all wear masks from time to time; a mask of tragedy, of mirth of anger, fear, the beauty mask, the mask of calm, and so on. In fact our masks can serve to hide us so that we are all tricksters masquerading. But our masks also protect us from intense scrutiny.
