Shining sparkle of sunlight pours toward the viewer and the sharpens the backlit clouds. Layers of islands & forest recede beyond the wrapping shoreline of deep inlets. The lines of log boom & pilings break the vertical composition above the natural stones revealed by the tide. Impressionist acrylic treatment with palette knife highlights & stippled drybrush over thin layers of glaze - – was inspired by a small study done on location – en plein air.
