About the Artwork
Shining waters and desert slopes. Such a contrast of color and texture. The natural slopes of this intense turn in the Fraser River are faced with ragged red rock and white “tide” lines at low water levels. Dramatic valley angles sweep back and forth – interrupted by the scars of roads and past water levels.
Layers of textured glazes, spatter & drybrush in acrylic create an organic pattern suggesting grainy slopes and distant hillside shadows & terrain.
