About the Artwork
This beautiful tree stands in Mission Creek Regional Park, Kelowna, BC. A study in gray using ink and colour pencil on 28x22" Arches paper. Cottonwood often grows to a massive size and is the bane of allergy sufferers everywhere. This one was a joy to draw and I drew it as an ode to the beauty of age. Work supported by a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts
