About the Artwork
A First Nations legend tells that the Great Spirit gave the crocus its fur coat to keep it warm during cold spring nights. Crocuses represent the awakening of nature and the start of a new cycle. The vibrant purple colour of the crocus is often associated with hope, positivity, and optimism.
