I admire a particular composition of Norman Rockwell, and thought it would suit the intent of my portrait. I wished to show the difficulties the artist has in finding time for their practice. As a woman, I found I was always pulled in many directions. It is also sentimental portraying what is important in my life.
I wish to add I submitted this to a Federation show and it was accepted. I didn’t realize there could be a problem with a resubmission. The whole purpose of this drawing was for a Chapter show. I phoned and checked and I was told there was no problem since the resubmission was for a Chapter show.
