Vancouver, British Columbia

Sensual qualities of colour and gesture mingle with a vibrant imagination to infuse Janet Strayer's Abstract and Representational artworks with intelligent vitality. "My art expresses lyrical and dramatic moments of contact between reality and imagination -- the dynamic reality of both inner and outer worlds." Given her commitment as a university professor of lifespan development and visual artist, Strayer's works often express moments of psychological insight and change

"I seek to express lyrical and dramatic moments of contact and contrast between reality and imagination -- the vitality of being alive to both inner and outer worlds."
