About the Artwork
On the last day of July, I was out doing a little plein air painting. As the sun pushed back the shadows, a wonderful spot of light illuminated the shoreline in front of me. Light, as it does, moved, so I took my painting home to recapture the feel of that moment. I completed the original painting in my studio.
