About the Artwork

Light brings things to the surface to be revealed. Sometimes there’s chaos and entanglement; other times, beauty, joy and love, and most often, a combination. This painting explores contrast, tension and interconnectedness through the interplay of vibrant colours, diverse shapes, texture, gestural marks, and layering. The composition comes to life within this intricacy. Instead of gridlock, there is movement within the grid. Areas of light, calm and openness bring a balance to areas of detail and bold structural elements creating harmony and space for a
conversation.

Through intention, spontaneity, and vibrant colours, my work expresses movement, and an energy of joy, harmony, and enthusiasm. The emphasis is on exploration and discovery as I tune in, create a dialogue with the painting, and connect with what is unfolding.
