About the Artwork

This sculpture is built on a brass interior structure with brass pins sticking out to give linch-pins for the bondage cord. It pays homage to those people who have been oppressed or in bondage over the centuries.

Harvie has his studio in Belleville Ontario. His main art medium is acrylic paint, but he also
sculpts in stone. His landscapes and portraits are of a realistic style, and yet he has also been
working in a more modern, contemporary style for some of his pieces.
