Geri Watson has studied watermedia in workshops with various local and international artists including Alvaro Castagnet (Uraguay) and Betsy Dillard Stroud (Phoenix,AZ).
Since starting to paint in 2000, she has painted a variety of subjects in acrylic, and now prefers creating abstracts. She is often commissioned to do portraits.
"I paint my original creations with acrylics, watercolours, or mixed media. The challenge for me is to create a lasting connection between me and the images I create. If the bond goes on long after I’ve finished a piece, I feel I have captured some significant emotion in my work."
