Dominican Lawnmower

Cows are everywhere in the Dominican Republic; The front and back yard of many casas, vacant lots, nearby jungle. And when they have browsed an area down they are herded to another close by area. They are accompanied by white cattle egrets in a mutually beneficial relationship.
They make great painting subjects when lying down. Best to work from photos when they browse as they continuously move while munching away.
This scene was a short walk from my condo and I painted it from my own photos and sketches.
