Human actions leading to climate change and other issues are endangering the habitability of the planet and existence of our species. This composition depicts one of the worst-case scenarios, where even after major human impacts end there can be no rejuvenation for the globe. The blue planet becomes black and red, but is still somehow beautiful.
This composition is guided by the painting process itself. Within a general concept, paint and other media are applied wherever the canvas suggests and are built up in multicoloured layers with various tools. The thick pebbly pigment and metallics reflect light in all directions, giving tremendous depth, luminosity and visual interest.
