A pair of Boreal owls perch on a branch with their fledgling offspring looking askance like an angry teenager.

Elisabeth Sommerville, SFCA
Vancouver, British Columbia
Elisabeth is a Vancouver artist and printmaker. Her Métis heritage likely engendered a love of nature, visible in her artwork featuring landscapes, wildlife, and birds, particularly crows and owls.
"I've wanted to be an artist for as long as I can remember. I've never developed a loose, spontaneous like many painters. I prefer meticulous detail and happily spend weeks doing a single work of art. I love crows and owls which I return to as subjects again and again."
