The Trumpeter Swan carries a quiet beauty. It’s elegant neck like a living brushstroke – the makings of poetry. I wanted to capture the feeling of a graceful swan landing in a lake abound with sunshine. I felt a high key painting would achieve this goal and capture this beautiful bird in its weightless glide to land.

My first love was to work in oils and this holds true today. The smell, viscosity and feel of paint on my brush as it marks the canvas is what keeps bringing me back to my easel day after day.
