As spring arrived, I was fascinated by the unusual ways the ice and snow melted. If you look closely, the patterns are outstanding. I decided I wanted to capture the effects of spring thaw. The work is a memory of what I saw with a certain amount of artistic license.
I worked on canvas with a mixture of spray painting, collage and acrylic.

Nature and the world around her inspire Doris. Mixed media is Doris’ favorite form of painting. She loves exploring textures, shapes, and a more contemporary look. Art has become a voyage of discovery and she follows it to see where it will bring her.
"Capturing memories in a way that a camera cannot, my paintings invite you to explore the subject; quietly discovering what is really there. Each painting is a story waiting to happen"
