About the Artwork
My purpose for this painting was to show one of Vancouver's landmarks from an artist's point of view. The cauldron is painted in a realistic style, but situated in an abstract representation of the trees mountains, ocean and sky that surround it all so evocative of the landscape in and around Vancouver.
