Daring into the Weddell sea I also dared to push the boundaries of paint in this jewel of a painting. I was sitting in a zodiac losing all sensation in both my hands and toes from the frigid temperatures. But once I caught sight of this magnificent iceberg, all thoughts of the cold vanished for I knew it would make a perfect composition. Using a plethora of new crystal and pearlescent acrylics this painting shimmers just as it appeared in its most natural state.
