With a deep-rooted love for animals and an appreciation for detail, Janette’s realistic drawing style is meant to highlight the beauty of the animals she portrays. She has lived in British Columbia her entire life and finds inspiration in the diverse wildlife that live here too. Janette took up photography in order to capture her encounters and add more excitement to the process. By drawing from these lived experiences, she hopes to add a sense of emotion into her work and pass along the feeling of those encounters to the viewer, bringing them closer to wildlife by presenting each subject as seen through her own eyes.
