Eastern Elegance IV is painted from life. I select items with a theme in mind, and create the set up and lighting before starting to paint. It becomes it's own world which I control. I create my still life settings to create flow and movement leading the viewers eye around the composition. I am particularly interested the play of light of form, and how this aspect elevates the ordinary to the extraordinary.My passion is to create a perfect balance of realism and painterly interpretation in my works.
