About the Artwork

Live Jurying Item #1

Diamond Head - Elfin Lakes (Garibaldi Park) was one of my early ranger postings in my career with BC Parks. Few have had the privilege of sipping their morning coffee soaking in the view of this spectacular alpine area. I am forever grateful this area was set aside as a provincial park back in the 1920's for its conservation and recreation values. A true BC treasure!

Chris has always been inspired by nature and it is reflected in her work. She is captivated by the colour, spontaneity and wonder that every element of the outside world brings. Like snowflakes, no two elements are identical and thats what inspires her.

""Have you ever stood in a forest after a spring rain and really looked at, or even tried to count, all the amazing shades of green? It's impossible and fantastic all at once. Nature is true magic, flashing her brilliance at us all the time...when we remember to look""
