Fall in the Tombstone Mountains is an experience for all the senses. The colors, the shapes, the landforms all seem out of scale. The air is crisp with expectation of snow. September smells of shrubs, mosses and grasses around the creek. The hillsides are multi layered and appear to be flowing as the underlying permafrost causes the gentle slopes to move slowly downwards toward the valley floor.
