Such an awesome sight and I am so priviledged to spend time in the Canadian Eastern Arctic. To spend time in the eastern arctic islands at the peak of summer is to witness dramatic changes in this frozen land. I used a palette knife to convey the dynamic behavior of glaciers and the gushing melwater. Inexorably rushing into the Arctic Ocean, the freshwater mixes with the saline ocean water. A dynamic ecosystem for marine creatures forms at this edge between ice and ocean. It is an impressive sight, a clear and real demonstration of how our planet is an integrated
