About the Artwork
The mauve memories of this piece belong to a place where I have spent many hours painting, walking, meditating, and enjoying the light, colour and movement of the river. Although it is a winter scene, the water is rendered in warm tones of gold and mauve, seemingly inviting one into its embrace. I felt inspired to create this painting as a tribute to the healing powers of water.
