The picture shows a thoroughbred mare, Kennisis and her first filly running through a field. In the minds eye of the owner, assessing the perfections of the new foal, the story is told. In a few years that same foal will herself be a mother running in the same grass with her own foal by her side. The concept for the work uses my pencil sketch of the mare and foal to integrate into with a background painted with "touche" on a smooth limestone rock. The work completed on the rock is then printed by rolling it through the press.

""My paintings, which are done in series, are an attempt to show beautiful locations whose natural integrity has either been altered by human intervention or is about to be. What is the cost of our imposition on the virginal status of these lands and the inhabitants therein?""
