I took this photo while driving with my mum one lazy Sunday on Vancouver Island. We were rewarded with beautiful pastoral scenes. In this one I transformed all the summer greens to gold while painting very loosely hoping to captured the natural textures of the earth, grasses and trees. It was a peaceful day, and I hope it leaves you feeling very peaceful.

"At some point the painting shows me something, the hint of a place, an image, or just a mood. I get a feeling that I react too and that’s when the painting starts to take shape. The rest is a dance between intuition and controlled response."
