In times of isolation we begin to look at society and our inner world with a different perspective. Our personal struggles and anxieties can become heightened, as we lack others in our environment to distract us from the inner dwellings of our psyche. Yet, for those of us that are used to working and living separate from the social interactions of others may find that life does not change that much for us. As we are already used to the stillness that comes with out the interactions of others. It has been suggested that we need to stay six feet apart from others and we treat this distance as if it is something that is foreign to us. Yet, if we look at the sea turtle, six feet has been the required distance that we are to give them in the wild for their safety. This distance allows them the peace and tranquility that they need, while they rest on the beach from the dangers that could be lurking in the ocean waters. Peace can be found in observing sea turtles in isolation on a beach while respecting their six foot social distancing.
