About the Artwork
For a split moment in flight you can catch a glimpse of the underside of the Rose-breasted's wing colour. I wanted to paint this aspect of the bird but it took a few years to get enough reference photos. I then played with a simple stylized background to emphasize this elegance when it takes flight.
