At about the halfway mark on the Westwood Lake trail, there is a point where the habitat changes to marshland. The fallen logs create wonderful habitats for lily pads, fish, tadpoles, and turtles. The walk is nearly 6 km, there and back. I am drawn to those wonderful sky reflections on the calm water, with the vivid colours of the leaves starting to turn to fall.

Every day I experience something in nature that invokes a response: a need to create and express an instance in time. I love the challenge of creating texture, reflection, and light. I'm grateful to live where this is evident in abundance each day.
