I was trying to get some sunset pictures on a cold February day. This scene is near the mouth of Nanoose Bay, close to Moorecroft Park. I took my photos, zooming in to avoid the peoples homes on the rocks. When I got home and viewed the pictures, I was happy to see the little ducks silhouetted in the foreground. The reverse sunset light on the mountains is in contrast to the cold shadows.

Every day I experience something in nature that invokes a response: a need to create and express an instance in time. I love the challenge of creating texture, reflection, and light. I'm grateful to live where this is evident in abundance each day.
