Kim Freeman
Nelson, British Columbia
Kim grew up in the art world. Her father Richard Freeman supported his family with his craft and she not only learned about the creative aspect of making art but also art business.
Retiring in 2017 from the home and decorating industry in Quesnel, BC Kim moved to Nelson in the West Kootenays where she found the inspiration and the studio space to paint seriously.
The work is technical as far as manipulation of the material so that the paint "looks like paint" but sometimes not. Landscape is most often the initial subject matter but sometimes the figure is referenced from life drawing.

To make this art makes me alive
