Michelle Thevenot

Osler, Saskatchewan

Michelle Thevenot, a dynamic artist from Saskatchewan, Canada, is renowned for her contemporary acrylic paintings, mixed media pieces, and wood sculptures capturing the untamed beauty of wildlife. Her versatility extends to mural installations, enriching public spaces. With a 2010 Art Education degree from the University of Saskatchewan, Michelle has gained global recognition and meaningful connections with international art collectors. Drawing inspiration from post-impressionism and abstract expressionism, her work explores the sensory and energetic connection between human and wild nature. Michelle's creations have been exhibited at various venues, including the Saskatchewan Craft Council, Warman Arts Centre, and Art Now Fine Art Fair. Michelle, a Warman Arts board member, balances her artistic pursuits with a multifaceted life as a creative-mentoring mom.
My art is an interweaving of human nature and wild nature. I’m inspired by wildlife observations, super-sensory experiences, and a deeply personal relationship with nature that resonates with a spiritual energy. My art brings feelings of vibrancy, grounding, peace, calm, and relief from a rigid, unnatural world built by humans.
