Robert D. Stacey is a self-taught artist living in Nanoose Bay, Vancouver Island. He started painting seascapes in his early 20s based on his background of working as a commercial diver on the West Coast. Working up and down the BC coast, inspired him to paint the beautiful islands, coves and inlets he was fortunate enough to visit. He established himself as one of BCs leading marine artist and his originals can be found in many art collections across Canada
In addition to painting seascapes, he also enjoys painting portraits, abstracts and surreal subjects.
