Scott Pleydell-Pearce
Richmond, British Columbia
Scott has been an artist all his life and at 55 years old has packed in a lot of experience. His working career is in the world of animation, where he has worked as an animator, storyboard artist, character designer, art director and now works as a Director for TV series animation.
He started painting in watercolours 12 years ago as a means to get creative freedom separate from his career. Self taught he threw himself into the enormous challenge that is learning watercolours.
His style can be described as bold, energetic, dynamic. He has the ability to draw and paint very accurately and also turn his hand to a looser style as well. He is inspired by many things in the world around him, figures, architecture, landscapes, seascapes and most of all, loves to capture colour and light.

Its all in the moment, that fleeting glance when the light hits just right and you find the perfect composition, then you capture the essence of what inspired you at that very moment in time, thats what my art is all about.
