Based in Kelowna, Laurie Carr is a realism painter whose passion for nature is reflected in every piece she creates. Working primarily in acrylics she is inspired by the breathtaking landscapes of Canada as well as the beauty and spirit of wildlife. Through her art, Laurie seeks to capture fleeting moments in nature and preserve them in time.
Laurie is a self taught artist who continues to develop her artistic skills through classes, workshops, and a mentorship program with Ann Willsie SFCA through the mastrius program. Her work has been featured at several local events, including two exhibitions at the Rotary Centre for the Arts and two of her paintings will be in the Oasis show at the Peachland Gallery.
