Deep in the Rhodope Mountains of Bulgaria, where I am from, the Kaba Gaida player's hands start to move. His hands bring forth the rich, unique sound cultivated over centuries. I chose to focus on the hands that highlight the skill, spirit, and full life of the player. I believe that hands are a mirror of a person’s soul.
