About the Artwork
Ranching in the dry central interior of British Columbia evokes memories of an earlier time, when cowhands and cattle roamed the sagebrush covered hills. They still do and the images today are as powerful as they were over a hundred years ago. The sagebrush habitats in BC are the only desert landscape in Canada and represent most northern extent of desert habitats which extend south through the western United States and even further into Mexico.
