This painting was inspired by Lawren Harris's "Lighthouse, Father Point". I had captured the reference photo several years ago and it has always been one that I wanted to paint. The FCA inspiration to create a painting in the style the Group of Seven was a great kick-start to embarking on this project. I can only imagine that Lawren Harris would have also been inspired by the Shearingham Point Lighthouse.
