About the Artwork

This painting features cotton thistle, known for its tall, architectural form and soft, silvery leaves. It’s part of my ongoing series of thistle portraits, where I explore the bold beauty and structure of these rugged plants. I’m fascinated by their strength and presence in the landscape. Using watercolor, I aimed to capture the delicate textures and quiet power of this striking wildflower.
