When my brain won't rest and starts to cycle through all the anxieties, fears for the future and regrets of the past, I find peace and rest, an emotional reset, by walking the land. This painting found me seated in the grassy hayfield across from my home, whipped by wind and surrounded by a riot of campanula. Despite the constant, restless movement across the land, there's peace there.

I have purposed to walk in wonder, passion and curiosity. In my art I seek to express simple truths and give space for their beauty.
"I have to try to catch myself off-guard and surprise my heart out onto the paper! It’s naked and scary and vulnerable to see it happen but so beautiful and pure."
