In the north, the effects of humanity's push to develop further into forests are not always registering, the need for new homes and neighborhoods outweighing the need for preserving greenspace. The displacement of the lives that were already calling the forest home are not necessarily acknowledged or accommodated. We need to be aware, respectful, protect the fragile landscape that we're borrowing, and be good neighbors to the flora and fauna that call this space home.
