Claire Burnham
Kamloops, British Columbia
In love with alpine and glacial landscapes, Claire's work aims primarily on capturing the essence of such subjects, both from true life places and inspired by imaginative shapes from dreams and memory. Born and raised in the Thompson Nicola region of B.C, the shouldering Rocky Mountain range as well as stupendous adventures in Iceland have been the main source of inspiration for her works. As much as the outlook of glaciers are saturated in the reality of climate change, she hopes through her work to more remind us of the beauty and strength of the ancient ice.
It would hurt to love the landscape around me and not be able to paint it.
